Adult Education: Bible Study 101

Over four weeks together, we will explore the following Bible study tools using the letter to the Philippians:

• Week 1: Devotional Method - develop a conversational relationship with God
• Week 2: Chapter Summary Method - learn how to read and record the central idea(s) in a chapter
• Week 3: Book Background Method - see how history, geography and culture clarify the meaning of the text
• Week 4: Book Survey Method - get a panoramic view of a book of the Bible.

Pastor Bart Bouman will facilitate this Bible Study "lab". Our work will be done "in class" with no prior reading or homework. There is no book to purchase or cost to attend. Our goal is to learn how to honor God's word by carefully digging into the text; not merely for information, but for personal transformation.
